Christmas Party at Laurel Racetrack

 

We have had our Christmas Party at Laurel racetrack for the last 2 years.  Many people expressed an interest in having it there again.  Commodore Lou requested we put an article in the newsletter to gauge interest in having it there again.  The biggest problem last year was that the buffet requires 40 people and we were six or seven people short last year thus losing a little money.

I have looked into the different plans and they have another plan called the Official Seated Plan which includes the following:

Iced tea, Coffee and Decaf

Home Made Clam Chowder or Tossed Salad with House Dressing

Your choice of:

  1. Boneless Chicken Breast, Steamed Spinach, Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Sherry White Wine reduction - rice

Or

  1. Meat loaf, Vegetables, Tomato Demi Glaze

Rolls and Butter

Cheese Cake or Double Chocolate cake

The above would also include, Admission to the track, Seating in the Turf Club Restaurant, Programs, Race named in our honor, Trip to the winners circle for 10 and Group Photo in the winners circle.  The cost of the above is $33 per person.

THIS PLAN ONLY REQUIRES 25 PEOPLE MINIMUM IN ATTENDANCE. 

 

The date is Saturday December 15, 2007.  The event runs from 12:00 to 4:30.  There are usually 9 races with the horses leaving the gate about every 25 minutes.  Horse Racing is a grand old Maryland tradition and watching these amazing thoroughbred horses thunder around the track is quite a spectacle.
